Privacy Policy
Effective August 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Terva Systems collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when you use Terva Systems websites, Terva Key hardware, the Terva workspace, and related software, services, features, and integrations.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Terva, we may collect information including:
- Account information such as your name, email address, and authentication details.
- Information you submit to Terva, including notes, prompts, preferences, support requests, and workspace content.
- Information from services you choose to connect, subject to the permissions you approve.
- Device, browser, diagnostic, security, and usage information used to operate and protect the service.
- Purchase, shipping, and transaction-related information when you buy a Terva product or service.
2. Connected services and integrations
Terva may allow you to connect supported third-party services, including email, calendars, cloud files, productivity tools, and financial-data services. Terva accesses information from those services only after you authorize the applicable connection and permissions.
The information available to Terva depends on the service, the permissions you grant, and the features you choose to use. You may be able to revoke access through Terva, through the third-party provider, or both.
3. Google user data
If you connect a Google account, Terva may access Google user data only within the scope of permissions you authorize for supported features such as communication, calendar, or file functionality.
Terva Systems' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Financial information
If you choose to use financial features, Terva may receive financial account and transaction information from a supported financial-data provider after you authorize the connection. Terva Systems does not require you to provide your online-banking password directly to Terva unless a specific supported provider or feature clearly states otherwise.
5. How we use information
We may use information to:
- Provide, personalize, and operate Terva and Terva Key.
- Authenticate users and maintain secure access to personal workspaces.
- Retrieve, organize, summarize, classify, draft, search, and assist with information at your request.
- Operate connected integrations and carry out actions you request.
- Process purchases and provide customer support.
- Detect abuse, prevent fraud, troubleshoot issues, and protect users and systems.
- Maintain and improve Terva products and services.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our agreements.
6. AI-assisted features
Certain Terva features may use artificial intelligence to analyze information you provide or authorize Terva to access. This may include generating summaries, classifications, recommendations, draft replies, search results, or other workspace assistance.
Information may be transmitted to service providers that help power these features when necessary to provide the requested functionality. We require service providers to handle information in accordance with applicable law and their contractual obligations to Terva Systems.
7. Terva Key and authentication
Terva Key forms part of Terva's access and security model. Terva may process device, session, key-state, and authentication information to verify access, establish or maintain a workspace session, and respond to connection or removal of a Terva Key.
8. Payments and purchases
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Those providers may collect and process payment-card or billing information under their own terms and privacy policies. Terva Systems may receive transaction details necessary to confirm, fulfill, support, or refund a purchase.
9. When we disclose information
We may disclose information:
- To service providers that help us operate Terva.
- To third-party services you intentionally connect or instruct Terva to interact with.
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
- When reasonably necessary to protect users, Terva Systems, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity.
- As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, reorganization, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
10. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Terva, maintain account and system security, support users, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and how it is used.
11. Security
Terva Systems uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No device, service, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Your choices and controls
Depending on the feature and service involved, you may be able to update account information, disconnect integrations, revoke permissions, or request assistance relating to your information.
13. Cookies and similar technologies
Terva Systems websites may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for site operation, security, preferences, analytics, or other disclosed purposes. Available controls may depend on your browser and the technologies used by the site.
